Numismatic coins are valuable because of their historical background, design, mint marks, year of mintage, rarity and coin population. They come in a air-tight package and are typically graded and certified by a reputable grading agency such as NGC and PCGS.
BULLION BARS & COINS
Unlike Numismatic coins, bullion coins, bars & rounds are valued for their precious metal content. That means the price of these items change as determined by the market. Bullion coins are struck by the mint. Gold & Silver bars are rectangular and made entirely of that precious metal.
